Is the home linked with a specific GP practise? Do the GP’s visit or do the care staff take them to any necessary or hospital appointments?
All residents are registered in 1 local GP practice and named doctor is assigned to look after all residents and visits the residents with concerns once a week (every Thursday) and any other time when needed. We facilitate hospital appointments and book transport, if next of kin is not available to escort the resident, we send 1 staff member to escort the resident with a charge of £100.00 flat rate regardless of how many hours the appointment will take.
